The circle has always been a central element in the Christian liturgy. The sign of inauguration is a signature of this liturgy. This primary form speaks to the human eye as well as to its mind. It leads the eye and the light in a smooth gesture and creates through its shape a possibility of peace and reflection. The overlapping circles unfoldes in a spatial figure which functions as a light modulator and as division of space. All spaces which are related to a church act are created by these unfolded circles. The intimate sign of the church carries within it self the Christian message.
