2011 PUBLIC"/ DAY CARE CENTER LØGTENGÅRDEN - NINE SQUARES PER FLOOR - TWO FLOORS = KINDERGARDEN:
A compact house for children – intimate spaces created by geometry and light. The use of daylight has a big impact on the quality of every day life. The kindergarden functions as a light modulator, and creates thereby specific spaces in relation to light and geometry. The site is caracterized by a significant contact to the sky. Big light shafts are penetrating the nine squares and creates a dynamic plan for children to investigate. A big outdoor ramp connects the first floor to the playground area – a sloaping green surface for playing, skiing, resting, laying and dreaming.
